This includes specimen collection, testing, processing, and reporting of accurate results. Includes issue resolution in the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases. The technologist maintains active communication and strengthens collaborative relationships among the pathologists, medical staff, nursing units, their specific section, and other lab staff.

Position Summary: The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic medical radiographic procedures on all patient populations (neonate through geriatric) and exhibits superior levels of customer service. The technologist effectively operates radiographic equipment to produce quality images in a variety of settings (Radiology Department, Emergency Department, Operating Room, or at the patient's bedside). The technologist explains procedures to the patient, demonstrates appropriate patient positioning, and obtains optimum views of specified anatomy. The technologist adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors based on knowledge of the procedure and established guidelines. The technologist demonstrates effective radiation safety practices and assists the Radiologist, when necessary. The technologist interacts with numerous computer programs and systems on a daily basis. The technologist may also perform various other duties as assigned by the Radiology Supervisor or Director of Radiology.
Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology. Minimum Experience: Registered or registry eligible Radiologic Technologist. Required Registration/License/Certification: American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) or graduate student eligible for exam. Kansas License for Radiology Technology. Basic Life Support certification will be accepted from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider), or successfully completes within the first 90 days of employment.

Sleep Center Technologist
Position Summary: The Sleep Center Technologist works under the general supervision of the medical director and the Sleep Center Manager; is able to help provide comprehensive evaluation sleep studies and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve Polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Staff Sleep Technologist can perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician.
Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: Associate degree in Respiratory Care or a healthcare related field. Minimum Experience: 1 year Sleep Technology experience preferred. Required Registration/License/Certification; Current Kansas Respiratory Therapy license or eligible for Kansas license with Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC OR RPSGT certification.
