K-Tron Salina is recruiting for a Lean Process Manufacturing Engineer who will be primarily responsible for optimizing the manufacturing operations.

Incumbent would be a key contributor in the Production departments mission of ensuring safe, accurate, low cost solutions across Projects, Sales, Engineering, Design Engineering and Manufacturing.

The Lean Process Manufacturing Engineer will assist in the development of lean processes, equipment and processes for manufacturing of products, design, and oversee tooling, programming, layouts, and capital ROI. All team members are expected to work cross-functionally to ensure success and many opportunities exist to work directly with sales, project management, purchasing, and manufacturing operations depending on the projects assigned.

RequirementsEssential Duties & Responsibilities:

Work directly with sales, project management, purchasing, and manufacturing operations to manage process and product design
Act as the primary point of contact for manufacturing
Drive continuous improvement in engineering and on the shop floor
Manage the product change request process
Maintain 5S shop/office and continuous improvement lean initiatives
Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering/or related experience
Proven ability to lead teams
Desire to work in a fast pace environment with multiple competing priorities
Proficient with AutoCAD/3D Inventor or SolidWorks (preferred but not required)

Technical Skills/Knowledge:

Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
Must have excellent negotiation skills
Must have excellent computer skills
Proven problem solving/collaborative learning techniques
