The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services including processing payments and data entry with a high level of accuracy. This is an entry level position, starting wage $8.00 p/h. Apply online @ www.alcostores.com.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Process Accounts Payable checks. • Respond to vendor and buyer questions. • Receive, process, and verify invoices, purchase orders and freight bills for multiple departments. • Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy. • Filing. • Performs all related duties as required.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and EQUIPMENT • A general working knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Excel. • Strong oral and written communication, customer service, and basic math skills. • The ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. • Excellent organizational skills. • Must be accurate with a calculator.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time using office equipment such as computers and calculators. • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch. • Occasionally required to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds. • Frequently required to use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects.
